Google API Disclosure
Effective date: August 13, 2026
Overview
Ask Clarity, operated by Bridge Integrative Solutions, uses Google APIs to provide optional document organization and deadline features. This page explains how we access, use, store, and share Google user data, and how we comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Google scopes we request
When you connect Google from Folder setup / Integrations, we may request:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/driveandhttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.readonly— to list files and folders, create an admin folder structure in your Drive, move or shortcut files into that structure (with your confirmation in the migration UI), and read file content needed to classify documents and extract deadline dates.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events— to create or update calendar events for deadline reminders you choose to sync.
We only request these scopes to operate user-facing features you enable. We do not use Google access for advertising or unrelated purposes.
How we use Google user data
- Drive metadata (names, IDs, parents, mime types) to show files in the migration review UI and to create folders.
- Drive file content (for supported types such as Google Docs exports, PDFs under size limits, and plain text) to classify documents into folders and to scan for deadline-related dates when you run those features.
- Calendar events to write reminder events you request from the deadlines tools.
OAuth tokens are stored securely and used only to call Google APIs on your behalf. We do not sell Google user data.
Limited Use commitment
Ask Clarity's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular:
- Google user data is used only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the Service's user interface
- We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve those features, for security purposes, or to comply with applicable law
- We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements, including retargeting, personalized, or interest-based advertising
- We do not allow humans to read Google user data unless you give affirmative consent for specific messages/files, it is necessary for security or compliance, or we are complying with applicable law — and then only with appropriate access controls
Sharing and subprocessors
Google user data may be processed by infrastructure and AI providers we use to operate classification and deadline-extraction features, solely to deliver those features to you. Those providers are bound to protect the data and are not permitted to use it for their own advertising.
Storage and retention
We store OAuth tokens, folder structure IDs, migration logs, and deadline records needed to run the features. File content used for classification may be processed transiently and is not used to train public AI models for unrelated purposes. When you disconnect Google or delete your account, we delete or revoke stored Google tokens and stop accessing your Google account; residual logs may be retained for a limited period for security and debugging.
Your controls
- Disconnect Google inside Ask Clarity (Integrations / Folder setup)
- Revoke access anytime at Google Account → Third-party access
